The Alien Head-Bites into DEATH BATTLE!

In space, no one can hear you scream....

There is little to know what lurks beyond our solar system. An advance society seeking knowledge? A collective confederacy seeking expansion? A desperate species seeking salvation? We can constantly hope we find extraterrestrial life with a preference for peace. However, what if we find something not so advance, so benevolent, so peaceful? What if we found something wild, vicious and unwavering? Perhaps... we may encounter something... like...

THE ALIEN

"Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility"
- Ash, regarding The Alien

The hostile extra-terrestrial organism, designated Xenomorph XX121 and commonly referred to as the Alien, is a mystery to much of the known world. Its history is one of mystery, deception and a lost trail of bodies and screams. It is speculated that the creation of these unnatural horrors stem from the hands of a mad machine named David, who sought to do what Victor Frankenstein had done, but rather stand in awe of his creation. "Evolved" from a horrific and unpredictable pathogen, this bio-mechanical monster is born from death, lives to bring death, and meet its end by, most likely, causing death. Many have regarded it as a perfect organism, capable of rendering its prey or capturing potential hots to populate. It is a horrific beast just by sight, but its actions speak louder than any scream that comes from your lungs...

Xenomorph XX121's uniqueness starts from its birth, starting with the egg; large, tough and leathery, the egg can stay dormant for countless years but will open when a suitable victim comes close. Once open, a small spider-like organism, commonly referred to as a "Facehugger" will launch itself upon the face of its victim and begin its process. After being attached for an suitable amount of time, the facehugger will die off, succeeding in what it was intended to do: impregnate the victim with a parasite. Once the parasite matures long enough, the parasite, apply named a "Chestbuster," will punch its way through its prey chest, most typically killing the victim in a violent and gruesome manner. After escaping, the chestbuster will hide and grow, shedding lesser skin before growing to its full form. As an adult, the alien will actively hunt down and eliminate enemy organisms, whether it's strait-up murdering and mutilating or preparing them to be another host. Whether fighting for its hive or fighting to survive, Xenomorph XX121 is a deadly creature best not fought.
  • For the sake of this analyses, I'm looking at the common human-based drone/warrior. I will mention the dog-based runner, as its capabilities are largely the same save for its superior speed and lower intelligence.

(Natural) Equipment

Xenomorph XX121 doesn't use any weapons given to them, nor do they really need weapons. The alien's body is naturally adapted for combat and survival, capable of using its claws, tail, inner jaw, and superhuman-level strength and speed to rip its prey apart, while using its armored exoskeleton and superhuman-level endurance, reflexes and stamina to stay in any fight.

Claws

The first noticeable weapon of any Xenomporh is its powerful, claw-tipped hands. The number of fingers vary greatly between specimens; Some specimens have six webbed digits (five fingers and one thumb), while others have larger hands with fewer fingers (two fingers and one or two thumbs). No matter its form, the clawed hands of an Alien is capable of tearing humans apart by hand and rip through body armor.

Tail

Xenomorph XX121 almost always has a tail, no matter the host's species. The tail is long, spiny and a powerful tool of this creature, easily capable of bashing an enemy several feet, punching through the armored chest of a Colonial Marine and even a Predator, and easily lift either one up. The tip of the tail can vary between specimens; some end with a scorpion-like stingers, while others end in a sharp blade. In any case, these spiny extensions of their bodies makes for a deadly tool in combat.

Bite

Though not used as much as its other natural weapons, the xenomorph's bite is quite deadly. According to The Weyland-Yutani Report, the alien's primary jaws have an estimated bite force of 6,000 psi, greater than the bite of the saltwater crocodile, which has a calculated bite force of 3,700 psi.

Head

As silly as it sounds, the Alien's head can be a deadly weapon in combat. The Xenomorph is easily capable of cracking impact-resistant glass using a headbutt. Some variants utilize their heads as battering rams, easily capable of breaking down doors.

Acid Spit

Though not a common ability among all specimens, some Drones and Warriors have shown the ability to spit some of its acid blood as a projectile. It isn't instantly lethal but it is effective at blinding and incapacitating opponents.

Inner Jaw

Above all, the signature weapon of Xenomorph XX121 is its inner jaw. With a single swift motion, the Alien can project its inner jaw at incredible speeds, dubbed the "Headbite", It's fast enough to punch through human skulls, hard-hats, military-grade helmets and even the armored bio-masks of a Predator.

Powers and Attributes

Xenomorph Physiology: Xenomorph XX121 is a physically, biologically and genetically impressive and fascinating organism. From inherited traits to improved traits, the alien is a fierce organism in any fight.
  • Superhuman Strength: Xenomorphs are vastly stronger than even the strongest human on Earth. An alien is strong enough to rip or smash through steel grates, effortlessly rip off a locker door of its hinges, effortlessly grab and carry-off a grown man with one hand, smash down a large barricaded metal door, and match an adult Predator's strength in one-on-one combat, as well as shatter a stone pillar with utter ease.
  • Superhuman Speed and Agility: The Alien is not only stronger than humans, but also faster and more agile. A Xenomorph is more than capable of dodging shots from a predator's plasma-caster (when given ample space to move), and are more than capable of chasing down any human being.
    • Superhuman Jumping: In conjunction with its speed and strength, Aliens are naturally gifted jumpers.
  • Armored Exoskeleton: Xenomorph XX121 is a highly resilient specimen. In Alien: Earth Hive: "It takes heavy armour-piercing military-grade weaponry to kill one and even then its not easy. We have the reports from Colonial Marines’ encounters with them. A Chinese farmer with a pitchfork, an Australian bird hunter with a shotgun, they’ll be wasting their time trying to stop a full-grown alien with either of those weapons." (Aliens: Earth Hive pg. 248-249). One has proven capable of withstanding multiple shotgun blasts without taking damage (note: the alien started to move above the two survivors, implying that the shots didn't cause any relevant damage). In a fight against a Predator, an alien was able to withstand being tackled with enough force to shatter a stone pillar. The Dragon, a dog-based Alien on-par with any human-based xenomorph, was able to survive 10 tons of molten, boiling lead (lead has a boiling point of 3,180 °F), following it up with jumping out of it, more pissed than angry.
  • Superhuman Endurance: Even if an Alien's armored exoskeleton is pierced, it won't go down so easily. A xenomorph can continue fighting, even after having large portions of its body blown off.
  • "Spider" Climbing: Several Xenomorph specimens have shown the capability to climb on walls and even upside down on ceilings with up-most skills, much like geckos and spiders. The science behind this is not exactly known, but it's been proven time-and-time again
  • Acidic Blood: Contained within the body of Xenomorph XX121 is a potent molecular acid. A highly corrosive substance, it is capable of burning through virtually any natural or man-made material in short order, including three floors of the Nostromo from only a minor spurt. The blood seems to be pressurized inside the body so that it spurts out when wounded, as a defensive measure. While the use of potent acid for blood provides the creature with an obvious defensive mechanism, the fluid is in fact a component in a biological "battery" that provides the creatures with their energy, and seems to be pressurized inside the body so that it spurts out when wounded, as a defensive measure. Some specimens have been able to weaponize this, from using it as a means to melt through security measures to flinging it at an opponent.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Thanks to its blood functioning as a battery system, the alien displays incredible levels of stamina, allowing it to function for long periods of time without needing rest.
    • Self-Sustenance: The alien doesn't appear to actually need air, food or water.
  • Innate Camouflage: Due to its biological nature and chemical structure, the Xenomorph is gifted with a superhuman talent for stealth.
    • Thermal-Blending: Xenomorph XX121 does not radiate heat as its exoskeletal temperature matches the ambient temperature. Because of this, it doesn't doesn't pick up on infrared or Thermal-Sight on a Predator's bio-mask, requiring a Predator to use its Electromagnetic vision to see them.
    • Dormant State: Much to many's surprise, Xenomorph XX121 is capable of entering a semi-dormant state, allowing them to fool even the most advance motion-based sensors.
  • DNA Reflex: The DNA Reflex is the term given to the process by which the species Xenomorph XX121 inherits certain characteristics from its host organism. The process accounts for the physical and perhaps even mental variations apparent in some specimens of the creature. An alien always picks-up traits from its host, from a dog's speed, a Predator's mandibles and dredds, a Tarkatan's jagged teeth and arm-swords, a crocodile's incredible size and strength, and much more, all depending on the specimen's host species.
  • Advance Senses: Though the vast majority of Xenomorph specimens lack any eyes, they display certain senses that allow them to "see" other creatures. The exact senses it uses is unknown, but a couple ideas exist:
    • Echolocation: Xenomorphs are believed to have sensory structures along the sides of their extended skulls that are capable of perceiving atmospheric vibrations (sound), in a form much like echolocation.
    • Temperature Sense: The creatures are also believed capable of detecting heat via highly sensitive thermoreactive organs located behind the skull's frontal plate.
    • Electroreception: Though not entirely confirmed, it is believed that a Xenomorph is capable of detecting the natural electromagnetic field most-all organisms produce, in a form similar to electroreception.
    • Pheromone Sense: One of the speculated senses that the xenomorphs may possibly have is their capability to sense pheromones, allowing them to tell the difference between a potential host from an impregnated host or synthetic.
  • Natural Environmental Adaption: Xenomorph XX121 are capable of living in virtually any environment. From habitable forests and jungles, deserts and antarctic to urban terrain and space ships, to the vacuum of space, there is nearly no place they can't survive in. (save for the inside of an active lava or a mass wild-fire)

Skills

Improved Animal Intelligence: Despite having animal-level intelligence, Xenomorph XX121 is surprisingly intelligence. The Hadley's Hope and USM Auriga incidents both showed that the species excels at observational learning and problem solving. In Hadley's Hope, the Xenomorphs were able to cut the power to a section of the complex to allow themselves access to their human prey and climb through vents to sneak up on alert soldiers, while the Queen was able to learn how to operate an elevator simply by observing it once. On the USM Auriga, captive drones were able to use blood from one of their own kind to melt through their enclosure and escape, and after escaping, utilize a cryo-spray system used on Xenomorphs on a hapless human soldier. The Xenomorphs in the Yautja pyramid beneath Razorback Point Whaling Station used a similar strategy of causing damage to the Queen so as her acidic blood can eat through her chains and free her.

Stealth: When not using outright swarm tactics or aggression, the Alien is a natural master of stealth, particularly in silent movement and ambush. Their natural matching to ambient temperatures and ability to go semi-dormant makes them nest to invisible for even advance sensors to detect. In addition, they actively stay out of sight and surprise its prey. They have even proven capable of getting the drop on a Predator, who are expert hunters and masters of stealth.
  • Ambush: Xenomorph XX121 is naturally adept at ambushing. With many capabilities of fooling some of the most advance sensors, it is quite easy for a single specimen to get the drop on their targets and take them out quickly, as they did to the Colonial Marines in Hadley's Hope. Likewise, they can set up traps for potential victims, as they did for survivors on the USM Auriga. Even when being hunted, a Xenomorph is more than capable of getting the drop on an individual that's staking them.
Natural Combatant: The Alien is a naturally adept fighter, capable of using its natural attributes and weapons perfectly. A single specimen is capable of matching a Predator in one-on-one melee combat.

Uncontrollable: Not so much a talent, there is few effective means for controlling an alien. The only individual capable of commanding one is a Queen. Other than that, there's no official means of controlling a Xenomorph.

Brutality: The Alien is also quite merciless; while some are quick to take down its prey, the Drone on the Nostromo had utterly brutalized and mutilated Joan Lambert.

Scary as F*CK: With everything combined, there's no denying that the Xenomorph is a TERRIFYING creature. Its intimidating size, incredible physical prowess, horrific appearance, plethora of natural weapons, natural stealthiness and utter brutality.

Weaknesses

As deadly as the typical Xenomorph is, it is not truly as perfect as some believe it to be.

  • Animal Intelligence: Though far more intelligent than the vast majority of animals, its intellect is nothing compared to that of humans, Predators, or other civilized species. They can figure out how technology works but they're not going to replicate it or invent technology like humans. In general, their intelligence is similar to that of the common chimpanzee or raven; incredibly intelligent but not enlightened.
  • Fire: Throughout the Alien franchise, it has been proven that fire is an effective tool in fighting Xenomorphs. Whether it's actually effective at hurting it or is simply an effective tool in scaring one off, it remains universal that animals don't like fire.
  • Not Unstoppable: A single specimen of Xenomorph XX121 is deadly to any common human but they've been bested frequently, due to superior planning (how Ripley killed the original Alien) , overwhelming technological superiority and/or vastly superior combat skills (as with Scar from Alien vs Predator or Wolf from Alien vs Predator: Requiem).

Feats

Xenomorphs are fearsome monsters from beyond our stars. Though I'm not capable of bringing up every worthwhile feat a xenomorph can do, I can give a few things that are worth mentioning.
  • Particularly individual specimens have proven capable of matching Predators in combat
    • A single warrior (Grid) could take down two Young Blood Predators, Chopper and Celt
    • One unique warrior (Specimen 6) was able to take down two Predators (most likely Blooded) and even an Elite Predator
  • Hadley's Hope warriors were able to cut the power of a facility
  • Ambush armed and trained combatants (Colonial Marines and even Predators)
  • Repeatedly shown capable of killing multiple humans in short time
    • The Dragon had successfully killed 15 people during its run
    • The Sevastopol Drone has 12 confirmed kills and possibly more
    • Specimen 6 had taken down a large number of Colonial Marines, as well as a number of Combat Androids
  • The Dragon survived having tons of molten-head lead dumped on it
  • Most influential movie monster in cinema history

Conclusion

Xenomorph XX121 is a dangerous creatures. Even the most common Drone and Warrior is deadly enough to slaughter a whole group of people single-handedly. Its strong, fast, tough, and brutal-as-f*ck! A monster like this needs an equally monstrous opponent for a DEATH BATTLE!

Animation Style: Any

There are plenty of good 2D sprites of the Alien. Likewise, there are a number of good 3D models of the monster. For a 3D fight, I'd personally suggest the using Drone model from Alien: Isolation, as it's the most up-to-date. There is also the Alien from Mortal Kombat X, but that is QUITE a bit different from the common Warrior or Drone.

I'm largely keeping the comics and novels out of this (save for three examples I gave), namely as their levels of "cannon" is questionable. I'm also leaving out Alien vs Predator: Requiem, as it had no applicable feats for the common alien drone/warrior, as well as Aliens: Colonial Marines, namely because it was so choppily done that I can't tell the difference between applicable feats and inconsistent effort.

Congratulations! It's a brutal, bloody Death!

Possible Opponents

You know, as much as I love these guys and want to see one come to Death Battle, I honestly don't know of a good opponent. Here's two opponents that could work:

Licker (Resident Evil)

The Umbrella Corporation is recognized for its dangerous dabbling in B.O.W. (Bio-Organic Weapon) research, especually after the destruction of Raccoon City. Few bio-weapons are as recognized and feared (or loved by Resident Evil fans) than the Tyrant Virus, or t-Virus, a derivative of the Progenitor virus. The most common result of the virus is the mindless, shambling zombie. On a rare occasion, a zombie will undergo a unique mutation, transforming the once simple of creatures into a deadly and horrific monster with exposed brain tissue, an increase in muscle development, and the total loss of skin. Along with these changes is massive talons fit for scaling walls or ripping prey apart, superhuman sense of hearing to compensate for its loss of eyes, and an absurdly long tongue that ends at a sharp point and can be launched with enough speed and force to pierce through people, and even decapitate. These horrific monsters are known as Lickers.

Possibility - High: Honestly, I see this as a decent opponent for the Alien. Both are extremely strong and agile, are extremely aggressive and relentless, are extremely stealthy, have sharp claws for ripping prey apart, and both have a killer weapon inside their own mouths! I can see either one coming out victorious, but VERY hurt.

The Setup: Both are aggressive organisms. Neither one is going to like the other.

Imp (Doom)

Throughout the depths of Hell, demon-kind lives in constant conflict, constantly striving to leave their hellish domain to prey on humanity. Among the most common ranks of these fiendish beasts is the Imp (Classic/2016). Unlike the tiny mischievous imp of myth and lore, these imps are the size of humans and fierce combatants. Though it lacks in brute strength and endurance, it makes up in speed, agility and ferocity. Its most powerful capability is its ability to literally hurl fire at its enemies, whether it's a simple bolt or a charged ball that explodes on impact. It's a weaker demon, quickly dispatched by a single shotgun blast, but its still one deadly critter to face off against.

Possibility - Medium: Though its a fast and agile monster, and its fire abilities can give it a decent chance in a fight against an Alien, its vastly inferior strength and endurance will play heavily. More importantly, Imps are not the most highly or iconic of Doom's roster of demons. The Hell Knights, Barons of Hell, Spider Brain and Cyberdemon are far more recognized and loved than the lowly Imp. Still, a decent possibility for a fight.

The Setup: I don't see an Alien drone and an Imp getting along.

Demogorgon

The folks at Hawkens had always saw their small town as a quiet place, a place where nothing happens. However, in a private laboratory out of the population's eye, a great and terrible achievement has been made: a gateway has formed between our dimension and another, darker reflection. What came out of it something monstrous, a predatory creature more horrific than what nature could give. It can easily tear men apart while withstanding point-blank gun fire, smell blood between dimensions, and create gateways between its dimension and ours. This monster has no official name, nor does it have a scientific one. Those who do recognize this beast refer to it as the Demogorgon.

Possibility - High: The Demogorgon is a pretty good contender in a fight against the Alien. Its extremely strong and resilient, can match the Alien's ferocity and innate combat ability, and has a couple powers that the Alien hasn't seen. At the same time, the Alien's superior intelligence, speed and agility, and acid blood may even things out, making this a pretty equal fight.

The Setup: Honestly, I don't care.
